|Wave buoy location||50° 06.86' N 005° 30.18' W|
|Approximate water depth||10 m CD|
|Approximate spring tidal range||4.8 m|
|Storm alert threshold||2.98 m|
Wave data are measured using a Datawell Directional WaveRider Mk III buoy (the photograph, courtesy of FUGRO EMU Limited, is of a DWR in West Bay). The buoy was first deployed on 06 April 2007, at which time the magnetic declination at the site was 3.9° west, changing by 0.15° east per year.
|21/08/2019||The buoy has been redeployed|
|18/08/2019||A fishing vessel became tangled with the buoy. The buoy was taken into Newlyn Harbour. A replacement buoy will be deployed at the earliest opportunity.|
